A prototype of Alias for the PlayStation 2.

Notes

  • A PAL build from about two months before the final game.
  • There's an option to select either a 50Hz or 60Hz refresh rate, which appears during the intro. This does not appear to be present in the final.
  • If 60Hz mode is selected, the game shows a screen that says "72 hours earlier" and nothing else in place of the pre-title cutscene. The game will crash upon loading the first in-game cutscene in this mode.
  • What would normally be the "Credits" option on the main menu is instead an "Extras" menu, with the ability to play the credits or view a "Trailer". Attempting to view this trailer in 50Hz mode will crash the game, and the game immediately exits the trailer upon starting it on 60Hz mode.
  • Miscellaneous Notes:
    • Game is emulatable (in PCSX2): Yes (as of March 17, 2021).
    • Game contains dongle protection: No.
